Rascal Flatts
In response to everyone’s comments I decided to dedicate part of this weeks post to Rascal Flatts and their upcoming concert. Tickets already went on sale on September 17 but it’s not too late to still get them. The cheapest seats are $39.00 and the easiest place to get them is on Ticketmaster.com. The concert, which is part of their “Here’s To You” tour, is on Saturday, October 15th in Baltimore, MD at the 1st Mariner Arena. It is scheduled to start at 8pm with opening acts from Blake Shelton and Blaine Larson, who are both great country singers.
Rascal Flatts is one of my all-time favorite country bands, especially live. I have already seen them three times in concert and each time it gets better and better. I would love to see them again in Baltimore, but I already saw them over the summer when their “Here’s To You” tour stopped in Virginia. If any of you are still thinking of going, I definitely recommend it. The concert was amazing, one of the best, and they played hits from their older albums, such as “Praying for Daylight” and “These Days”, as well as some of their new songs like “Fast Cars and Freedom”.
And in response to Drew's comment…Trisha Yearwood will not be performing at this concert. Sorry Drew, you may have to enjoy her slow, love songs in the privacy of your own home this time but if you want company, let me know, I have her greatest hits CD.
In other country news, Kenny Chesney is single again! Just last week, Kenny Chesney and his wife, Renee Zellweger filed for an annulment after only being married 4 months. They had only been dating since January of 2005 and their marriage was a shock to almost everyone. I know it’s probably not right to be rejoicing over someone getting divorced but I’m sure I’m not the only girl out there who was happy when she heard this. Not that I have a chance with Kenny Chesney, but it’s always nice to dream!
Until next time… Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy!

I AM POOR. LOL. I wish that I could go to the Rascal Flatts concert but I am going abroad this winter and need to save money. But the one concert that I am going to go ahead and see is the Brad Paisley concert in Wilkes Barre, PA. This concert is in December and since I missed his concert in Baltimore recently, I can't WAIT to see him. It is during our reading days for finals, but it is actually looking like I won't have any finals during finals week! CROSS YOUR FINGERS.
I have never really been to a REAL country concert. The closest thing I have been to is the FARMAID concert out near Pittsburgh, PA. It was really something awesome tho. It was a few years ago and I forget all of the acts but I know Willy Nelson was there!
One last thing....Do you like Brad Paisley and have you heard his new CD? IT ROCKS.
I am obsessed with Rascal Flatts! I am not sure if I can attend the concert anymore because I work on Saturdays. They are an amazing band. I have their CD, Here’s To You, and it plays over and over again in my car CD player. They were the first band that introduced me to country music. As a New Yorker, I was unfamiliar with country, but after listening to Rascal Flatts in June, I am a recent country girl convert! Now, I can’t stop listening to country and always have 107.3 or 92.5 on the radio. I love Toby Keith, the Dixie Chix, and Gretchen Wilson (my new favorite). The country music channel is always on my television as well. Just like Craig, I have never gone to a country music concert either, but am looking forward to that one day. And in regards to the Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chezney, I think it was all a publicity stunt!
HMmm, rascal Flats huh. Sounds like a cartoon to me. I've heard of some some weak band names, but that one takes the cake. It makes me think of the Rugrats for some reason. I wonder if they sing some kids songs, cause right now im chillin with my little cousin rachel and she says, "hello senor, senior. you look like a lama and i feel bad for you because your so ugly."
That was my little cousin, not me. and i wont say who she is referring too.
Until next time country music fans, ride those cowboys !!!!
peace,
drew
I LOVE Rascal Flatts. Speaking of country music concerts, I went to the 21st Birthday Concert for 92.5 xtu (the philly station) over the summer. It was in Jersey at the Tweeter Center. It was an awesome day...great weather and awesome performers...and it was all FREE. Did anyone else go? I didn't see many people I knew...but I saw PLENTY of obese women in tube tops, men with mullets, overalls, and NASCAR t-shirts. What a crowd.
I'm glad Renee and Kenny are over...not like anyone I know has a chance with him now that he's single...I just didn't really see them as the ideal couple.
If any of you went to the Rascal Flatts concert, how was it?! I'm sure it was good...but I had to ask anyway.
Drew...you're comments are quite entertaining.
I have never been to a country concert but I really would like to go soon. I never was big on country till recently so my concert pasts have been different arrays of music I am really enjoying the country should and the I am sure that was a great concert, I know that those are all great artists so together they probably put on an amazing show. I will definitely be keeping my eyes open and looking to see what the newest country tours are and what concerts are going to be taking place in the tri-state area. Hopefully I won’t miss another opportunity and will be able to catch some like country action, I can only imagine the experience, I am sure it’s incredible!
oh man, i have not been fortunate enough to get to see rascal flats in concert, yet. i'm hoping to get to see them sometime, but that date is full aready. what bands tend to open for them? and why is it that they are your favorite band in concert? i know their music has a lot of enegy, and i bet that makes them extremely fun to watch. the $40 isn't too bad for a country concert. i took my girlfriend to one last september, where a few bands were playing and it was $120 for two tickets. it was a great concert tho, and an excellent birthday present. it opnend my eyes to going to see country concerts
